Updating Sagitech VMS to Version 2.6

We are pleased to introduce the new version of Sagitech VMS 2.6. We have added a new neural network-based staff monitoring module, enhanced video analytics modules, redesigned archive handling in the browser, and expanded security settings. A significant portion of the changes has been implemented based on your feedback.

Key Changes

New Neural Network-Based Staff Control Module

  • Automatic tracking of employee presence in designated zones via video streams: detection of leaving and returning, generation of alarm events, quick archive search, and activity reporting.

New Password Policy Mechanism

  • Centralized configuration of password requirements: length, complexity, lockout policies, expiration, and history, with the ability to apply settings globally or to specific user groups.

Updated Web Client

  • Improved archive handling: new navigation and search elements, optimized data transfer.
  • Added UTC support.
  • Object tree added in "Archive" mode.
  • Updated camera selection with preview and search.
  • New timeline: zoom, scaling, scrolling.

Updated License Plate Recognition Module (Sagitech LPR)

  • Improved speed and accuracy.
  • Added support for special vehicle detection.

Updated Neural Object Detection Module

  • Improved quality and stability.
  • Extended tracking capabilities.
  • Added new detector and counter modes.
  • Optimized event processing and GPU performance.
  • Improved archive playback.
  • Reduced latency and improved audio synchronization.

Improved Linux Builds

  • Increased stability and performance.
  • Faster server sync with a large number of cameras.
  • Fixed freezes and multithreading issues.

Extended Script Capabilities

  • New action: "Execute SQL query".
  • Module state persistence between restarts.
  • Scenario interface improvements.
  • New variables: %EventImage%, %HostID%, %HostName%, %TimeUTC%, %FR_TimeUTC%, %LPR_TimeUTC%, %TimeFormatT4%.
  • Support for sending text and JSON over TCP.

Hardware Integration

  • HTTPS support for camera connections.
