Updating Sagitech VMS to Version 2.5

We are pleased to introduce the new version of Sagitech VMS 2.5. We have expanded the functionality of the Enterprise edition and analytics modules, and added new features to the Web client. Our system has become more reliable, stable, functional, and user-friendly. A significant portion of the changes has been implemented based on your feedback.

Key Changes

Updated Enterprise Version

  • New mode - partial server synchronization. Designed to sync a large number of geographically distributed servers that are not aware of each other into a single domain managed by a master server.

Updated Web Client

  • New object panel in live view mode: a convenient tree with state synchronization and context menu, drag-and-drop support for adding objects to view layout cells, and the ability to trigger custom actions.
  • Updated camera selection window: bulk addition, quick search, tree structure, frame previews.
  • Improved algorithms for switching between primary and secondary streams.
  • Extended features: hide object tree, clear layout via context menu.

Extended Face Recognition Module Functionality

  • Employee time tracking with reports: "Visit Log" and "Working Hours".
  • Ability to force reprocessing of unrecognized faces to optimize checkpoint performance.
  • New licensing type "Search": search by face, facial attributes, and demographics. Includes face detection.

Enhanced Telegram Integration

  • Ability to link a Telegram group to a user and send messages to the group.
  • Updated, more efficient request processing algorithm.

Updated POS Module

  • Integration with Axiom banknote counter.
  • Added ability to reset color scheme and load default settings.

Hardware Integration

  • ONVIF: improved compatibility, added support for retrieving camera alarm input states.
  • Extended driver functionality for: Uniview, AltCam, HiWatch, Divisat, Hikvision, Rvi, Dahua.
  • Integration with Spinpark relay module.

Minor Changes

System Improvements

  • Added support for receiving events from "FireSec 3 Integration Client".
  • Improved archive resilience to partial data loss due to hardware errors.
  • Added functionality for rebuilding corrupted archive indexes, allowing recovery of files damaged by system errors.
  • Optimized archive playback at high speeds (over 60x).
  • Extended SDK functionality: support for external analytics modules and HTTP request handlers.

Functional Improvements

  • Ability to filter cameras and microphones in live view and archive playback modes.
  • Queue detection module: added "Transport" mode for detecting vehicle congestion on roads.
  • Alarm log: event display window with attached images.
  • Ability to export alarm logs to Excel/CSV.
  • Scripts: ability to enable/disable analytics modules.
  • Scripts: ability to send a pulse to the USK-04M port.

Linux Support

  • Added HTTPS support for client-server communication.
  • Ported client and server to RedOS, Ubuntu 24, Astra 1.7.6.
  • Ported queue detection module.

Other Improvements

  • Updated network disk monitoring mechanism for smoother mounting.
  • Ability to rotate camera images by 90, 180, 270 degrees.
  • License plate recognition module: support for new three-digit Russian regions, improved result generation algorithm.
  • RSAPI: object tree loading.
  • Interactive maps: audio playback when viewing camera video.
  • Neural detector: asynchronous initialization, optimized averaging algorithm.
  • Scripts: ability to set encoding for "Execute HTTP request" action.
  • Scripts: scroll support in POST/PUT body input field for HTTP requests.
  • Scripts: filtering events from Sigur access control system by object ID.
  • Scripts: handling input port closures of relay modules.
  • Scripts: camera output port control (set state, send pulse).
  • Schedules: analytics reporting for visitors in face recognition module.
  • SDK: available as an additional module for Professional edition.
  • Display active analytics modules at the top of the module list in camera settings.
  • Neural abandoned object detector: advanced zone parameters.

Bug Fixes

System Issues

  • Configurator: application freezes when disconnect occurs in disk section.
  • API: last frame is not cleared when loading archive via /rsapi/archive/mjpeg.
  • Resources not released when opening corrupted index or container.
  • FR: descriptors not released when detector is destroyed.
  • FR: editing additional fields in embedded analytics mode not working.
  • FR: real-time video flickers after minimizing and restoring the application window.

Functional Issues

  • Error when removing Telegram user binding.
  • Data synchronization issues between client windows during active layout changes.
  • Archive: "Unable to decompress video data" error.
  • Schedules: "Run during the day if missed" flag not saved to database.
  • Archive not loading in event log for neural detector events.
  • Window position not saved when moving maximized window between monitors using Win+Shift+Arrow.
  • Zones sometimes not fully rendered in live view mode.

Linux Issues

  • Camera search via IP range scanning not working on Linux.
  • POS module: amount display misaligned when overlaying text on video.
  • POS module: current terminal not highlighted in selection window.
  • Fixed translation issues in foreign languages.
  • Fixed various UI rendering issues.
  • Archive view resets when a new event arrives in the event log.
  • Auto-update status resets in FR and LPR modules.
  • Copying data from object tables not working.
  • Memory leak in FR module and error "Bounding box dims must be positive".
  • Video export via Web client not working.

Other Fixes

  • Camera selection state not preserved when using filter field.
  • Scripts: flag for removing empty intervals in visitor reports not saved.
  • Archive playback speed (x64) not retained after timeline navigation.
  • Long initialization time of network drives during server startup.
