Release notes: Sagitech VMS 2.4
Major changes:
- The functionality of the Enterprise and Complete editions has been expanded.
- A server status monitoring system has been implemented. The following are monitored: the location of the server on the network, the state of the disk subsystem, the state of the cameras, the depth of the archive, the status of the database. The ability to add custom monitoring parameters is supported. The data is being archived for retrospective analysis.
- A system for monitoring user actions has been implemented. The data is archived for building reports and analysis.
- The possibilities of restricting user access to the system have been expanded:
- Time restriction of user access.
- Restricting user access according to a schedule.
- Restriction of the user’s secondary login.
- Automatic termination of the user’s session in case of inactivity.
- The archive export has been updated. The Archive Export Wizard supports simultaneous export of video archive fragments from one or more cameras.
- The ability to simultaneously export an archive for multiple cameras.
- Archive fragments can be exported as separate files or combined into a single file.
- Overlay of analytics data and camera name when exporting to AVI.
- The ability to quickly select the resolution for AVI (maximum, average, minimum).
- Automatic splitting into multiple AVI files with a large amount of data to export.
- The PostgreSQL DBMS is supported for storing video archives and data from analytical modules. PostgreSQL provides improved performance for high-load systems.
- Sagitech VMS has been ported to Debian.
- Improved performance on systems with multiple monitors. The updated display algorithm provides a smoother display on clients with 3 monitors or more.
- Hardware integration.
- Expanding the functionality of drivers for Ati, Beward, Tiptronic, Geovision, Satvision.
- Improved synchronization with tablets with built-in face recognition.
- ONVIF: Improvements to the motion detector and improved driver detection when searching for ONVIF devices on the network.
- A modified module for interaction with cash register equipment (POS module).
- Overlay of POS analytics data in the archive.
- Display of the last receipt during playback initialization (real-time mode and archive).
- The ability to download the receipt data for the selected line in the transaction report.

- Porting the LPR auto number recognition module to Linux.
- Support for obtaining statistics of Linux servers through the Server Monitoring utility.
- The ability to reset the server ID (for cloning configurations and then merging into a domain).
Minor changes:
- The ability to edit interactive maps without administrator rights.
- The ability to remotely restart the server (Enterprise, Complete).
- Improved configuration import/export for distributed systems.
- The ability to export alarm log data, count visitors according to a schedule.
- Advanced settings for scheduled export of auto number recognition module data.
- HTTP API: exporting a frame from the archive, extended descriptions when subscribing to events.
- The ability to configure the storage time of analytics data.
- Selective synchronization of user groups for tablets with built-in face recognition.
- SDK: The ability to use the SDK via ActiveX and from Delphi.
- SDK: the ability to hide the control panel and timeline when viewing the archive.
- SDK: the ability to load the boundaries of a record for a period, control the stretching of the image.
- The ability to customize the display of zones/trajectories/coordinates of objects for each cell (tracking, PPE neurodetector, neural network object detector).
- Advanced configuration of event filtering parameters from the PPE detection module in scenarios.
- Disabled the restriction on editing the admin account from under other accounts with administrator rights.
